An early socialisation program for you and your kitten is essential. Well-adapted, confident cats are less fearful of novel situations and less likely to display inappropriate behaviours.
Topics covered include:
- Socialisation to people, kids and proper cat handling
- Understanding your kitten and cat’s body language
- Cat / Dog / Children Introductions
- How to design an enriched environment for cats
- How to prevent problem behaviour in kittens
- Importance of scratching and appropriate scratching surfaces
- Litterbox training and management
- Fear Free health care: nail trimming, grooming, teeth brushing, pilling and weight checks
- Carrier training and car travel
- Species-appropriate diet and creative feeding
- Introduction to harness and leash training
- Introduction to Clicker and Target training
- Stress-free veterinary visits and much more
Prerequisites
- Kittens must be vet checked before enrolment
- We will accept only kittens 6 to 18 weeks of age
- 4-6 kittens per class
- Kittens must have their first vaccination before enrolment (ideally tested with a negative result for FeLV/FIV test)
- Kittens should be de-wormed and flea-treated seven days prior
- Bring kittens in a pet carrier!

- One and a half hour class
